Practice Makes Perfect (or at least better!)

In auto racing the main thing the driver needs to do is FOCUS and pay attention. I have so many drivers email me and ask me how they can improve their concentration. In other words, good drivers want to know how to avoid the dreaded "Brain Fade" so they can become great drivers. In drag racing, this means having extreme concentration when cutting a light and having good, fast, consistent reaction times and being able to drive the finish line. For other racers, this means maintaining a high degree of concentration. People ask me how they can improve their reaction times and focus and concentration and I tell them, "Practice, Practice, Practice, and a little more Practice!" The winter months are the PERFECT time for Practice. And even though practice won't make you perfect, it will make you better and closer to perfect more often. If you have a practice tree, great! use it and practice during the winter. Other racers use video games to help with reaction time and focus. And I have found the following online reaction time and focus games to not only help pass the nights during the winter, but they will also help improve your reaction times and help give your brain some practice concentrating.
So take a break from working on the car, have some fun and Practice, Practice, Practice!
