Persistence puts the Tuff Paw Dragster in the Winner's Circle

The end of May and we have already had the tranny out of the car more times than I car to count, we have had some odd electrical problems, we have had some carb issues to deal with...Yes, it has been a pretty busy racing season with more mechanical problems that we would like. But anything in life worth having is never easy, and drag racing is no different. In fact, if racing was easy, everybody would do it! So we have had our share of issues early this race season and we have a few heart breaking losses by a few thousandths of a second already this season. But Mike and I kept plugging away at it....This weekend at the Mega Bucks Race at Gateway International Raceway, we also had a few mechanical issues to deal with. Then in the Mega Bucks race we lost by just a few thousandths. So when they announced a $100 to enter race for $2000, there was one part of us that thought, "hey it is hot, we are tired, let's not enter" but fortunately another part of thought, "Come on, things are going good, let's give it a try!" So we entered the race and five win lights later, we were in the winner's circle. It does pay to keep plugging away, keep sticking with it, and realizing that eventually things will come together. Here's wishing you all the will to keep plugging away and being patient, keep working your program doing what is working well and making changes if need be. We all need to have a little patience (and even when it is really hard to do sometimes!).
