Weather the Weather!

The weather this summer has been crazy--scorching hot temperatures, rain, wind, hot and sunny, cold and rainy, fog, storms, and just about everything in between. But as racers that is just part of the deal. You can't control the weather but you can do your best to deal with the weather. In your tow rig or in your trailer you really need to think about dealing with the weather so mentally you can drive your best. Make sure that on those HOT, HOT, HOT days you have plenty of fluids (most experts say water or some non-sugary sport drinks are the best). By the way did you know that alcohol actually dehydrates a person? Also make sure you have fans and towels for the driver. Getting in and out of those cars wearing driving suits makes the driver even hotter! You may also want to think about umbrellas for the rainy weather of course, but maybe umbrellas to keep the heat off as well. Sun screen is a must for these hot, sunny summer days. You get the idea, make sure your trailer or tow rig is full of all the things you need to help you weather the weather so you can drive your best. At http://www.tuffpaw.com/ we sell a lot of aluminum trailer supplies that can hold all of those necessary items so you have them when you need them. One of my favorite products for enclosed trailers that are at least 1 foot extra height is an over the door storage shelf. We keep our car cover there because it is light, we don't need it a lot, but when it is starts to sprinkle it is easy to grab! We also have a small shelf that can hold sun screen, first aid supplies, and bug spray and then you know you have these important products at all times!
Good luck, and keep cool!
